Whether you’re a first-time buyer or on your sixth purchase, the process can be complex and it helps to have an idea of the steps you’ll go through to get to closing day.

I start by listening. As your buyer’s agent, I know the best way to help you is to take the time to understand you and your family’s goals, needs and wants. I also take seriously our discussions around the financial implications of a home purchase, and one of the first things I recommend you do is talk with a lender if you plan to finance some of your new home. Getting pre-qualified so you know what kind of home you can afford is critical to kicking off the process right.

As a buyer, you are in the unique position of having someone else (the seller) pay the commission for your agent (who represents you and your wishes exclusively).  And, as your buyer’s agent, I can help you buy ANY house — one listed by another company, one you saw at an open house, or one listed as a FSBO.

    “I started my house purchasing process with another agent and found myself hopelessly performing all of the searches in a vicious sellers’ market. None of the houses in her search lists matched my requirements and were in areas I didn’t want.
