ABOUT MY PROGRAM...
I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work full-time in a business that I love, and enjoy the benefits of helping others through buying and selling homes. Whether it’s the excitement of buying a first home, joys of expanding as your family grows, building your dream home, or new adventures in downsizing when the time is right for your family, I love playing a small part in making someone’s dream come true.
It is also important to me to give back to the community that gives me the opportunity to do this every day. Kansas City is home to many important causes, and my family and I have narrowed down our local giving to three causes that are particularly special to us.
As a client of mine, after we close on your sale or purchase, I will donate $100 to one of my three chosen causes in recognition of you and your business. You have the opportunity to choose which of these causes resonates most with you, and I will make my donation in your name. This is one way I can say thank you for your business.
CHILDREN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED TRAUMA
Organization: The Children’s Place
What they do: Nurturing and promoting the healthy development of young children who have survived abuse, neglect and trauma by providing specialized services and family support, within a safe and caring environment. Services include day treatment, outpatient, training and advocacy.
Why it’s important to me: In too many cases, children are the innocent victims of unfortunate circumstances. They are the most vulnerable of our society and I want to see them all have a chance at a safe, healthy, happy life.
SHELTER DOGS & CATS
Organization: Heart of America Humane Society
What they do: A 100% volunteer organization working to find good homes for dogs and cats. Many of these animals are cared for temporarily in foster homes as they do not have a physical location of their own.
Why it’s important to me: We have owned four rescue dogs. Our first two, Dippy and Lorraine, were adopted from Heart of America Humane Society. These are the most wonderful dogs around and they are helpless in their circumstances. I want to see them all find a loving home where they can bring joy every day to their humans!
Organization: Speak Up
What they do: Providing education and awareness in our community bridging the gaps between communities, schools and parents. They encourage open conversations about the different signs of children who may be at risk.
Why it’s important to me: A dear friend of mine recently suffered the devastative loss of her 18-year old daughter to suicide. Through this gut-wrenching experience, I have learned a lot about depression and how it affects so many of our teens and young adults, and want to help others get the support and resources they need when they’re struggling.
